What we liked

  • Corded operation avoids battery charging breaks.
  • Detachable pod, swivel steering and brushroll shutoff add flexibility.

What could be better

  • A 25-foot cord still needs outlet changes and storage.
  • Bagless emptying, filter drying and brushroll cleaning remain your jobs.

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 makes sense if you want a corded upright for floors plus a detachable pod for stairs and furniture, and you do not mind doing the maintenance yourself. When you finally have time to clean, a flat battery is one frustration you can do without. This model swaps that charging routine for a more familiar one: finding an outlet, handling the cord and emptying the dust cup.

This is a research-based review of the blue NV360, listed on Amazon as Navigator (Navy), ASIN B00JH98GR4. We have not owned, used or hands-on tested it. No star rating is assigned.

What you get, and why it matters

Shark specifies a 25-foot cord, 5-foot hose, 0.9-quart dust cup, swivel steering and a brushroll-off setting for bare floors. Its detachable Lift-Away pod is intended for above-floor cleaning. The current package lists an upholstery tool and crevice tool. These are useful distinctions when sofa seams and stair edges need attention, not just the open middle of a room. See Shark's NV360 product specifications.

The sealed system and HEPA filtration are manufacturer-listed features, not proof from our own emissions testing or a promise of allergy relief. Think of them as reasons to inspect the design, rather than a reason to expect health results.

The everyday tradeoff: fewer battery decisions, more hands-on work

A cord can be reassuring for a planned room-by-room clean. It is less appealing if your ideal vacuum is something you grab for thirty seconds and put away immediately. Before choosing, picture your usual route: where are the sockets, where will the machine live, and will the cord become one more thing to manage?

Lift-Away means a detachable pod, not a cordless vacuum. You still have a hose and power cable to handle. Also, do not confuse this NV360 with a Powered Lift-Away variant just because the names look similar. Amazon groups several Navigator styles together; the linked selection here is the blue/navy NV360.

Maintenance and safety to budget time for

Shark's NV360 owner's guide calls for emptying the cup after use and checking the brushroll for wrapped debris. Switch off and unplug before changing attachments, clearing blockages or servicing. Use only on dry indoor surfaces, not liquids, hot ashes or sharp debris.

Filter washing also means downtime: the guide specifies at least 24 hours of air-drying for the pre-motor filters, and all filters must be completely dry before reinstallation. Do not hurry drying with a hair dryer. Follow the booklet supplied with your exact unit for its care schedule. These are ordinary chores, but they matter more than an attractive feature list. Read Shark's NV360 owner's guide (PDF, retailer-hosted copy).

Who should shortlist it?

Consider it if you prefer deliberate, manual cleaning and want one machine that can move from floors to above-floor tools. Compare other formats first if stairs, carrying weight or cable management are already the parts of cleaning you dread. A clever feature is not a good fit if you avoid using it.

If the real goal is to reduce how often you personally vacuum open floors, our Roborock Q10 S5+ research review explains the different chores a robot and auto-empty dock can take on. That is a different approach, not a direct substitute for a stair-cleaning tool.

Why we researched it now

Checked October 20, 2026, Michigan time: Google Trends, United States, Web Search, all categories, past 7 days, parent search term vacuum cleaner, showed shark navigator lift away +40% among rising related queries. That percentage belongs to the related query compared with the preceding period, not to the parent term or NV360 sales.

The separate Navigator query's hourly chart peaked on October 15 and was lower on October 20. This is a weekly rising-query signal, not evidence of a fresh or continuously rising spike today. Search interest is not an Amazon sales rank or a reason to rush a purchase. View the parent query and rising searches; view the separate Navigator trend. Live windows move after the checked date.
